In this trip we spend up to 70% of our time off road, traversing mountain ranges from Colliure France towards Valencia Spain, where we will head inland and back up to France .

Meeting up at our camp site in Colliure, we will spend our first night in anticipation of the trip ahead.

Leaving Colliure we’re soon onto tracks and crossing into Spain through the mountains, keeping the coast on our left we pass by Sant Pere De Rodes a former Benedictine Monastery. Following the coast we head south towards the Sierra de Montgri, a beautiful mountain range with far reaching views of the brilliant colours of the Costa Brava.

Heading inland, but always south, we pass through Les Gavarres a small mountain range leading towards Parc du Montseny, a larger mountain range again with fantastic views. We will pass through magnificent woodland with hidden rivers and creeks.

Onwards we travel towards Falaise De Montserrat; a strange mountain range with upright cylindrical rock formations.

We then proceed towards Castelloli where we will stop to have a look around the village and to replenish supplies. Continuing on we enter one of the most mountainous provinces of Spain.

Passing through winter ski resorts you will see the ski lifts and marked out ski runs all of which we will traverse through, where you will find the farmers are grazing their stock.

We pass through Santes Creus where we will take time to stop to look at a beautiful monastery dating back to 1158. From here we keep heading south through vineyards and mountain ranges, famous for their magnificent cliffs, with far reaching views of varied landscapes, before heading back down towards the coast.

Leaving the coast heading inland back into the mountains passing through the Sierra de Peharroya, Sierra de la Batalla, Sierra d’espada and finally Sierra d’utiel, looking out for the magnificent flowers and valleys slightly reminiscent of areas of Morocco.

Heading inland on the final few days, you will be able to reflect on the sights & sounds of this adventure.once at the final campsite in France, you will start the journey back to catch the ferry home.
